I don't think he's making it up because really it doesn't help him in the long run. Even if his sister did miscarry, does that make him more deserving of the million dollars? I think that he was genuinely concerned about how she was dong because she's so young, and it was probably something really important going on in their family when he left for the show. He said she was only two months pregnant when he left, so they all must have just found out about it right before he left. Also, despite his conniving ways in the game, I don't think he would make up something that terrible about his won sister. If he's religious, he would know that you shouldn't speak certain things, because they just may come true. And I'm sure he wouldn't ever WANT to lose a niece/nephew.

I think the whole thing is for real. It was either Amanda or her sister that asked how far along Todds younger sister was, and Todd first replied *three months* and then his sister that was there said *more like two months, its been awhile* and Todd asked her then *so it was right after I left?*
That part of the conversation seemed real to me....
The other thing is, if this is all a ploy...Todd and his sister would've had to think this up and plan it way beforehand. How did Todd know he was still going to be there at this point? There was a chance that he would've been voted off already.....so if he planned this whole thing out.....he really is sick and twisted to come up with something as sad as this, taking a chance that he would still be there when family members got to come to China.....am I making sense? LOL
I know there are twisted people out there....but this would be so beyond twisted if it turns out that this situation wasn't real.....

I don't know what to think! It did seem pretty shaky when they were all swimming in the lake (Amanda and her sister and Todd and his sister) and he suddenly said that although it sounded like he was lying and making it up, he really wasn't! Remember that? I mean, if the whole pregnant sister thing was real, then why did he even say that or totally make such a big deal about it on national tv? I'm sure Todd's younger sister was distraught if she really did miscarry....but why would he ask his other sister about it in front of Phil and everyone when they first reunited with their family member? The whole thing just seems very shady to me...he's trying to get sympathy votes or something.

After all the flack Johnny Fairplay took for his twisted scheme I can't imagine anyone with a brain trying that. Todd seems too nice of a guy to make light of something as serious as miscarriage.
I don't think he's making it up.

I don't know cause Jonny Fairplay did the grandma thing it makes us all cynical now.Why would he ask first thing about his young, healthy and pregnant sister. He's been so shady through the whole season too. You'd think he would've asked about his parents first. He's also from Utah and he is a Mormon and that's a huge thing to have sex before marriage(i had mormon friends)so i was kinda doubting it.I don't trust anyone anyways but i hope they let us know sometime.

i think, he is for real.. not the johnny "my grandma's dead hoax" fairplay.. and besides, if he's lying, everyone knows that they can't trust Todd in the first place.. except for Denise wrong choice of sharing her reward..
