He knows that he loves them, the fact that he loves God, and he is protecting them with God's help...I pray for those ppl, probably as much as he does.
He is a great President, I have much respect for him and his administration, despite the ugliness of ppl who don't. When I weigh the pros and cons....he is still a great President! Much better than the past adminstration...I don't have to mention names, because you know exactly who I am talking about.

In the hopes of somewhat elevating the conversation: he most certainly knows the populace incredibly dislikes him. To dispel a claim of a previous answerer, Bush's approval/disapproval ratings are not tied to a biased sample. Gallup polls are random samples and are re-normalized to represent, within a very narrow margin of error (Gallup was one of the few polls to correctly determine Bush as winning the 2000 election). That is to say: the ratings are correct. And presidents do pay attention to them.
Bush is most certainly aware of these polls, and I can guarantee they have him worried, but, given the elite cadre he's surrounded himself with, I doubt he loses much sleep over it. At this point in his presidency, he's looking ahead and is concerned for his legacy. Let us not forget that JFK is lovingly remembered and he got us into Vietnam. Johnson continued the escalation and is also rather fondly remembered. Nixon was the primary presidential figure to get us out of Vietnam. So, take that for what it's worth in light of the Iraq war.
I would argue that the Annapolis conference is proof of my claim: Bush is trying to move on in Mid-East focus to create a legacy for his intervention in the region. Sooner or later, the public will forget Iraq (supposing it comes to a reasonable end in the next 5 or so years), but building something important in the Mid-East, like peace between Israel and Palestine, would be remembered as Nixon's opening of China or Carter's brokering of the treaty between Egypt and Israel.
So, while I'm _certain_ he's aware, at this point he's more concerned about creating something good for people to remember and for history to write about.

George knows, but Cheney gives him milk & cookies, reads him a bedtime story, kisses George on the forehead, and tells him that "Uncle Dicky" likes him. Then George drifts off to dreamland where clouds are made from marshmallow and there are rivers of chocolate, and everyone in the world likes him. Sweet dreams little Georgie!!!

Of course he does... He's just so cold hearted and greedy that he doesn't care. It's hard for him to care when all of his buddies are making so much money and patting him on the back for such a heck of a job...
RE: "In my opinion, if you hate Bush so terrible, why don't you go to the White House and tell him so." I know probably a hundred people (not an exaggeration) who would if they could afford to do so.

If low poll numbers are indication that people hate him, then there are more people who hate the Reid/Pelosi Congress.
