I don't know why you're using a UV light for your plants, considering plants can only use the visible spectrum to photosynthesize, but that aside, it will not hurt your fish. Usually, UV lights are used as heat sources (UV heat lamps for reptiles) or UV sterylizers to kill any bacteria or algae that may be in the tank... Either way, your fish will, for the most part, go unharmed (during birth, it would be best to turn off the UV to reduce stress on the female).

no the ultra violet light will not hurt your fish at all, just make sure they have a few good hours of natural light as well. no, its not going to mess with the pregnancy and the babies should come out nondeoformed :)
