i put a new computer security thing on my computer and it gets rid of my cookies please help

For WinXP and IE 6.0, the path is
Tools >> Internet Options >> Privacy >> Advanced
This should bring you to the page that enables cookies. I would point out that enabling third-party cookies is not a good idea all of the time. I have mine set to "prompt" for third-party cookies. I want to KNOW when someone is saving a cookie on my machine even though i didn't visit their site directly.
On the other hand, I generally allow first-person cookies as a regrettably necessary evil.

.....sites, and here you can add the sites you want to
accept cookies from
