West coast rap usually differs from other coasts rap for its laid back smooth sounding lyrics and calmer beats

Dr.Dre- his album the chronic is recongnized as one of the best rap Cds ever

Eazy E and NWA (eazy e, dr.dre ice cube, MC ren and DJ yella) NWA was lead by the late eazy e and is reguarded by many as the best rap group ever under Run DMC
