Your sickness name is 'control freak'.
.
Usually when someone wants total control on small things like the cleanliness of their home, the cushions are not fluffy enough it's because you do not have control over the bigger issues of your life such as your job, your marriage, motherhood, with your parents, siblings etc. Not being able to control those big aspects, you over-control the little ones.

My sister-in-law has this same issue and one person said it would be better to have a partner than a clean house.HAHAHA No that is not the answer. I would say either set your levels of clean a little lower. Don't be compulsive about it but also let him know what you need to have happen and cleaning up after him is not your job...tell him he should do his part by keeping his stuff cleaned up. and you continue with the rest. or but a box out on the porch or in the garage and but his crap in it when he leaves it laying around nonstop. (last resort there) but communication is key. your not a door mat or his maid and he should respect your way but you can not be over compulsive about either. if that fails use the box method and when he is looking for his stuff then tell to hit the box. only a few weeks of this with mine and communication after the box issue my husband is great now. my brother is on a better track but that is still work in progress. good luck

my husband works 80 hours a week so the fact that he leaves his underwear NEXT to the hamper instead of IN the hamper is no big deal!

You don't have a sickness you have a lazy husband. Stop picking up after him. He is a grown man and he needs to pick up after himself. Tell him that he needs to do his share and that you are no longer going to pick up after him like he is a child.

Would you rather have a house that is not clean and no husband? That's what I've got. I'd much rather have a man in my home to be my partner. You're very lucky and I don't know that you see it.
