Hi, well for one everyone likes a good scare it gets the adrenaline going. Also people see it as a way to socialize or come closer. Some people just like to be scared.

I think because it gives us a chance to feel like we're in a dangerous situation (even though we aren't) and it exhilaralitng...like i LOVE scary movies(in the comfort of my home or local theatre or w/e) but when ur all alone or in a strange/dangerous place....not fun...period

I think it's because of the adrenaline rush, I like the feeling, and since I'm scared of heights, I can't get the adrenaline feeling in any other way.
