could a novice with a tractor make any money on 10 to 20 acres by growing corn in north east/central texas assuming the weather is ok and no tornados etc? and how much irrigation would be required given normal rain fall?

it's something i would do for others in hopes of paying for the land to be developed at a later date. and i would get an in on it.

The best advice I can give u is to contact Ur county agent of agricultural..

I worked for them for years..... are u in Tarrant County???

it is called .. Texas Agriculture Extension Office.. it is an extension of ( oops... don't boo me.. Texas A & M Unversity)
I would contact the one in ur county and one in northeast/ central Texas where the land is located and get 2 different people suggestions..

Why don't you lease the land to someone who already farms?
