the morning after pill is available without prescription in some states. Ask your local pharmacist for details.

In certain states, the pharmacist at any pharmacy (walgreens, longs, rite-aid, target, walmart, etc.) can prescribe the morning after or EC pill to you (so you do need a prescription). If your pharmacist does not do this, you will have to see a doctor or go to a clinic (such as planned parenthood) to get a prescription. The last time I got it at the local pharmacy, I had to pay $20 consultation fee and the medication itself was $40-$50.

You can get them over the counter is your are at least 18 with an ID, other than that they have to be prescribed. They usually cost around $50.00.
