A) Earth, It is closer to the sun, therefore stronger radiation rays hit it.

B) Hydrogen, it is the most abundant element in the universe, as well as gas giants.

C) Terrestrial, They are all more dense. Terrestrial planets inclue Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.

None of these questions are difficult to figure out if you just read them and think about them.

For example, a planet closer to the sun would receive more solar energy than one farther away, right?

If you know that the atmospheres of the jovian planets contains mostly hydrogen and helium (the 2 lightest elements), then its obvious that is the reason for the lower density of the jovian planets

And since terrestrial planets are rock and jovian planets are mostly gas, and rock is more rigid than gas, it's easy to figure out the answer.

Hi. Try your common sense. The fact is that Jupiter is much farther away from the Sun. Answers 1. Hydrogen and helium are very low density. Answers 2. The terrestrial planets are made of rock and metal mostly. Answers 3.

a) The earth

B) Hydrogen

C) I don't understand what do you mean with Rigid structure if that is density:

Earth has a density of 5.52 g/cm3, which again is about halfway between the densities of iron and basalt. Earth is mostly made of iron and rock, even though the Earth's surface is covered with rock and water. That makes it the most dense.
