There is a guy on my street that has one string of lights in his tree, it looks like a giant "S". How could you stand out there after you're done and think " boy, that looks good ".

HAHAHA. My neighbors just have 6 GIANT yard balloons. In their very tiny yard. They also put lights on their broken down car. Its a mess over there. I just have a tree and my stockings right now. Were broke this year. And we lost a lot of our decorations in the move to this house. Oh well. It isnt the end of the world.

It's not about how it looks to others. It is about decorating, and celebrating, if you like and as best you can. Maybe he doesn't have a lot of money to spend on decorations if he wants his kids/family to have a good Christmas with nice presents. Maybe he has to make a choice. Maybe he thinks "These are all the lights I have, but I will put them out anyway". Maybe you need a little more Christmas spirit, yourself.

As an atheist, I comprehend the reason in the back of that communities strikes. it is going to no longer be presumed that each physique people rejoice christmas because of the fact the delivery of jesus. that's honest to allow people comprehend that there is a crucial proportion of the inhabitants that has no theory in god in any respect. If everybody is too comfortable to this fact, they only ought to recover from it. Secondly, I see the adaptation between an atheist and an anti-theist. Having study Dawkins, The God myth, that's sparkling, that he has a real distaste for faith, in line with many existence like , properly researched grounds. His indisputable fact that faith has been liable for a brilliant style of atrocities over the path of historic previous can not be disputed. You ask, what is going to we learn. I say tolerance for an opposing viewpoint

Did you stop thinking that he probably has a problem and cannot finished it?
Maybe he's sad or perhaps depressed as it's so very common this time of the year?
Does he need help? Maybe someone to talk to?
Maybe he doesn't have the money to buy more lights?
Now, think, instead of judging others... Thousands of reasons could be behind that one string of lights... Thousands.

-(If I judge people, I have no time to love them...
Do I judge my parents?; my brothers and sisters?; my grandma because her food doesn't taste good anymore?; my grandpa because he's so old he cannot do anything right?; my friends, my real buddies?; and what about that loner or that stranger passing by?
No.
No, because in all of us lays a heart and a brain and we have not even a single idea what's stored in there; what they feel and what they think.
If I judge people, I have no time to love them...)-

Why not do the Charlie Brown thing and help him decorate that tree? Perhaps he cannot afford much more but at least he's made the attempt.

I personally have enough to worry about in my own life than to worry about what the neighbors decorations look like. I have no idea what is going on in his life or what problems he has. He tried and that is nice.

Different strokes for different folks. At least he is not putting a strain on the power grid like some of my neighbors.

That's one of the reasons I haven't even started to decorate yet. I don't want it to look bad!
