yes it is. The reason people yawn is to bring more oxygen to their brain. (this would acct for the reason I yawn all the time) This is the reason many people yawn when they wake up and when they are tired. When one is sleeping; they are not getting the oxygen that they would get if they were up and about and when one is tired; one loses oxygen to the brain. Perhaps there are scientists that say it is not contagious but they are all full of crap because everytime I see someone yawn (even if I'm just watching a movie and a character in the movie yawns); I will definitely yawn. Unless ofcourse someone says "I'll give you 100 dollars if you don't yawn".
