flies turn shiny blue and green when they eat dook but why?

They are naturally that color. There are literally hundreds of different types of flies. Some are dull colored and some are metallic blue or green. That's just how they are.

Green Flies

The fly, naturally colored green, is Green Bottle Fly and the blue one is Blue Bottle Fly.
Both are members of the family Diptera.
Stay away from these flies.
Since they land on dead and stinking things, they carry diseases.

They don't turn that color. Those are different types of flies and not houseflies.

What is shiznit? Do you mean fecal matter?

I presume if you brought it to a boil and let it boil for a few minutes anything would be killed at that temp.....your pasta sauce must be realllllly good!
