Common sense is something you ought to know - eg. carry an umbrella when its about to rain; you are sure to suffer burns if you put your hand over an open flame, etc. Street sense or being street wise is acquired through experience. There is definitely a very fine line between them.

Street sense is an ability that comes with time on the job, or experience out in the 'hood', or whatever. It comes from learning how to protect yourself, how to keep. yourself up in a bad situration, etc. It also is the result of observing what happens 'on the street'.

Ummm...I don't know. It is sorta the same thing...but in ways its not. But street smarts is in common sense some sort of way.

Common sense is when it's something you should already know. Like people trying to reveal their body or wear flip flops when it's snowing outside.....then you think to yourself "wtf?".

Ever listened to rappers saying I have book smart && street smart. Street smart is like knowing the way the streets are. Knowledgible at illegal activity. Guns, drugs, fighting, what to do and what not to do in certain situations. Usually "street smart" is talking about in the "ghetto" or "hood".
