Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time is still my favorite game. It was revolutionary for its time, and I still enjoy playing it.

I used to play Mortal Kombat in the arcades before, and I can say that this game is good and unique. The game started in the early to mid 90s, and also died in the same decade and revived in the 2000s with the strong, deadly alliance and its new sequels.
It's surely the leader game of its type.

Zelda and Super Mario Brothers on the Super Nintendo and
Mario Kart 64 on the nintendo 64.
For fighting games, my favorite was street fighter 2 on super nintendo and Mortal Kombat 3 on play station.
p.s. I just realized this totally ages me.
I also liked Miner 49er on the Commodore 64.

Bioshock, Fallout, Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape: Torment Command and Conquer, UFO Enemy Unknown, Supreme Commander+Expansion, Rise of the Triads (Multiplayer), Diablo 2 (+EXP), Dune 2.
I'm pretty sure they are more or less the best of all time in their respective time periods and categories. Can't bring it down to one, it's impossible.

its got to be assassins creed definatly ive completed the game twice its awesome and call of duty 4 ive completed it 5 times i got all the cheats.
and heres a little secret for assassins creed.
