Jesus. He was hiding out down there. They took him to France, which he was disappointed in and then found a wife and married her.

From there he sailed to America and helped Joseph Smith start the Church of Latter Day Saints.

After realizing that Joseph Smith could handle the religion on his own, he moved up north to Alaska. In Alaska, he found Gold and hit the jackpot. He started the Fortune 500 company called "John Deere."

No one knows, so your opinion is as good as anyone else's. They were exposed to Muslim culture, which recognizes Christ as a man and a great prophet. This would have been a great revelation to the Christian world at the time.
