For the last few weeks i have been having dark, slightly heavy, stringy bleeding. The only thing is that i haven't had any pain until today. The last time I had sex was about 2 months ago and we didn't use a condom because I had been getting birth control shots. I know I need to go into the doctor to be absolutely sure but does anyone even think this could sound like a miscarriage?

I would definitely make an apt. with your doc., bleeding for 2 weeks no matter what consistency is not normal.

Symptoms of a miscarriage include:
Vaginal bleeding that may be light or heavy, constant or irregular. Although bleeding is often the first sign of a miscarriage, first-trimester bleeding may also occur with a normal pregnancy. But bleeding with pain is a sign that miscarriage is more likely.
Pain. You may have pelvic cramps, abdominal pain, or a persistent, dull ache in your lower back. Pain may start a few hours to several days after bleeding has begun.
Blood clots or grayish (fetal) tissue passing from the vagina.
It is not always easy to tell whether a miscarriage is taking place. A miscarriage often does not occur as a single event but as a chain of events over several days. One woman's physical experience of a miscarriage can be very different from another woman's experience.

I had a miscarriage, after which a child now not lengthy after, then an extra miscarriage. Considering I used to be advised I'd by no means get pregnant, I viewed that one a blessing. Two years later I cross pregnant once more, and we had a good time and proposal we might by no means get pregnant once more. Then #three used to be born 18 months after #two...WOW! Then #four used to be 15 months after #three, then 18 months later #five....we began considering it used to be a few form of cosmic shaggy dog story! #6 used to be born 2 years after #five, and quantity seven (we name her seven of 7) used to be born 2 years after #6. My SIL additionally confronted a number of miscarriages, 4 or 5 I consider, she stopped telling us after a at the same time. She received pregnant approximately ten years in the past regardless that, after which popped out FIVE in ten years. So we are each particularly cheerful with our little advantages. I'm sorry to your loss, I have no idea what else to let you know besides to hold your hopes up. I by no means proposal I'd be so blessed, and I bear in mind the ones days of dread, each and every month of praying. We had been whole nuts for the duration of our pregnancies, in particular due to the fact that all of our miscarriages had been after 12 weeks...some distance into the trimester of 'security'.

Did you miss your period last month? It really doesn't sound like a miscarriage to me. If your bleeding doesn't stop soon you should see your Dr.
