Previous replies have mentioned slave revolts in America; but don't forget the slave revolts in other parts of the world -- for example, the one in Haiti (then known as St Domingo) in 1791.

You seem to have a good appreciation of the history of the area variously called the Levant, Palestine, the Middle East, Phoenicia, The Holy Land, etc. So I'm sure that you yourself can work out how long the Palestinians have been in that area. Briefly, that area of the world has always been in turmoil.

the 3 major revolts for me
-the sepoy mutiny in india against british
-the boxer rebellion in china against the westerners
-the taiping rebellion in china against the Manchus
(last two - not sure if slaves staged the rebellion)
