It was a huge mistake to say "under God" and did not include all of the nation, as there are some who are Atheist in this country. Can he lead this country? Of course not. Say you?

To the caller who said I was jealous. Not. Romney is a fake who hides from the truth, where his ambitions for the presidency is to vie for this office because Joseph Smith did not get it. He could care less if he is a good president, it is a religious agenda that he is running at all. And, he will not win, we are not stupid.

i didnt hear his speech but i would definitely Quote JFK on this issue if i were him,JFK said" I hope that no American will waste his franchise by either voting for me or against me because of my religious affiliation, it is not relevant."I would do the same if i were Hillary Clinton when it comes to the gender issue

Anyone can read a speech. Especially in front of a convention of carefully-selected partisans who can be cued to applaud after all the deliberately-inserted applause lines. Romney's speech will tell us nothing new. In fact it will tell us as little as possible. The debates between Romney and Obama, now those will be a lot more interesting.

no he didnt take his speech from JFK. JFK wasnt nearly so bold and honest.
Mitt quoted the founders who established this Republic with the Constitution that guarenteed us religious freedom. If you dont like it, than you should take it up with them. Not Mitt.
Mitt will be the next President.

The 2% to 9% of the country who are committed secularists could make a difference. Especially those of us who are still registered Republicans (obviously a smaller percentage).

He and JFK both had to deal with people who were prejudice against religions. Yes he can lead this country, and I really don't care about the atheist.

I don't think his religion has any bearing on how effective he will be as president.
Atheists are a very small fraction of the US population. If all the atheists don't vote for him, it won't really matter. Politics is a numbers game and the nonreligious unfortunately have little weight compared to the Jesus fanatics.
