also has anyone you or someone you know gotten the 3 months injection did you or the person you know have any side effects, and what birth control pill would you recommend thanks alot

There's no need to wait for your period to start before taking hormonal birth control. You can start taking hormonal birth control at ANY point in your cycle using the quickstart method. You are protected after seven days of active pills.

I was on depo and it was horrible. I'm so glad I'm off of that stuff.

I'm on Kariva (pill) now, I started taking it the day after I was due for my depo shot (that I never got thank goodness) and got my periods back in three months.
