Why do people overrate Trish Stratus?

I don't get why I see so many people saying Trish Stratus was the best female wrestler in the WWE. I don't see it, and I've followed her whole WWE run ever since she appeared on HEAT.

-Matter fact, she was never the most skilled woman wrestler in the WWE. She was carried through most of her matches by more skilled divas through a majority of her career.

-Trish was in typical storylines with other male wrestlers, and she only had a few storylines worth noting in her career. Her rivalry with Lita was not that good, and both are sloppy in the ring.

I can give Trish her due for putting in effort to not be a typical swimsuit model, But seriously, she's not that great! I see people putting her over Jazz, Molly, Victoria, and way better female wrestlers, and I don't see it!

So to those who say she's the best, Why is she so legendary to you? What makes her #1 on your list?

Aries- 7-Time Champion doesn't make her a great wrestler, and winning a title the most doesn't make her great. Matter fact a lot of bad women's wrestlers won the title.

Kjors- Anyone that gave you a thumbs down has not seen a good women's wrestler outside what the WWE projects.

CherryLUVSu- Actually, a majority of the divas that were in WWE could do just as much, and in several case, a lot more than Trish Stratus. She was average at best, and people over-hype her greatly.

So far, I'm surprised not to get any people really challenging my opinion. I see "Trish is the best diva" all over the section, and not anyone really makes good points saying so besides "she is beautiful".

Koumidiator- I don't have a problem with people saying their opinion. However, when their opinion is the one the WWE wants you to and is also not an accurate one, that's when it begins to get to me (just like how people are annoyed with Cena).

Trish Stratus and Lita were both drilled into the fans, and because of their looks and ability, they were always put over women who could wrestle WAY better (Victoria also does a better moonsault than Lita, but because she's a heel, she never hits it).

I give them both their due for being more than "Playboy bunnies in the making", but they are not the best ever, and I hate when people say that.

I stated my question this way on purpose. If people hate my opinion, they will challenge it. If I state it any other way, then no one will answer.

Also, a lot of divas could do the moves Lita did (i.e. Molly's Finisher), and I say she was sloppy because 1) Lita nearly or does injure herself on a majority of high-risk moves and 2) the way she performed moves was poorly done a majority of the time.

So far, three people challenged my opinion.

guy b- Trish Stratus only did one kick move, which is not that hard to do. She is nowhere near Tajiri, even for a woman.

However, other people who overrate Trish, as well as Lita, need to speak up and do a better job at it. The only person I see defending Lita any good is probably "Darth Maul", but Trish is barely defended, though a whole mess of people overrate her.

Where are these people that overrate her?

Just one of those wrestlers that people want to overrate. "She was great, a real performer, amaing, talented, blah, blah, blah." Just like Hogan. She's been here a while. The fact that she's been here long is her legacy, basically.

First of all,well everyone has an opinion and no problem with that if Trish is their best ever.
To consider her the best ever means that they have been entertained enough by his WWE run...

As a wrestler i am not considering her in my top 5 and maybe even not the top 10...
I agree that she wasn't awesome and not even very good but i can give her a lot of credit cause she was bombshell and most of the times these bombshells sitting in their home sleeping and making a career after the WWE because of their looks.
However,Trish Stratus worked hard to get improved as a wrestler,she almost sucks at the beginning and hse became at least decent...
She had some good rivalries but i disagree with you that Lita wasn't good enough and sloppy or whatever...
We can't overrate all the women division,we sometimes need to have a limit when we starting to "overrate" people...

Lita had variety of moves and she has been involved in good storylines and being part of Team Extreme e.t.c..You can't see any day a woman doing the moonsault...spinning kicks...twist of fates and some high impact moves..She was athletic and she didn't had the physique of Chyna for example...

and as a wrestlers,i do agree that Molly Holly,Jazz,Victoria,Gail Kim and a few others are better that's why i am not considering her the best...
Also,she can't be compared with Moolah and Madusa which are legendary..Maybe Trish will become legendary after years but not for now...Later we will see clearly her any legacy..

I do agree with your statement(about Trish being overrated ans she is not the no.1 in history) but honestly i didn't liked the way you stated that..

edit:Yeah..i also stated that some divas were better and had better moves as well but it is not right to reduce Lita's accomplishments or ability to increase the others's and yeah i agree that the fans speaking only for these two instead of some other good female wrestler...but this situation will exist forever.some ladies or guyz will be underrated either will like it or not..

I like Trish. I don't know about the best female wrestler, though she was very good. Lita was pretty cool back in her Team Xtreme days, doing things women have never done before. Jazz, Molly, and Victoria were good too. The sad thing is that, whoever anyone feels is the best, Victoria is the only original diva still wrestling, unless you count Torrie Wilson, and I don't think i could.

Trish had some fantastic leg combinations that I honestly have never seen on any other diva. They mainly use their upper body.
Trish used a lot of kicks and leg holds. Including aerial moves and stuff. She honestly wrestled like a female Tajiri. I just loved her unique style.
And yeah, she was hot.. But she was an amazing wrestler too, and both things at the same time don't happen very often on WWE.

I agree. Completely agree. Evereyone's going to be mad at this because they are Trish marks and not willing to see the obvious. She's a good entertainer but Jazz and Victoria are in a whole nother class of wrestler.... they actually wrestle!

I agree with you completely. My favorite female wrestler was and is Molly Holly. It's sad to see Victoria where she's at right now because she's better than most of the female wrestlers on Raw.

No one misses Trish. Leaving doesn't make you a legend. She dyed her hair blond and got the same fake breasts as everyone else. She's nothing but a try-hard. Did you hear everyone booing her when she gave her farewell speech? that says it all.

Hmmm.... Shes one of the best on my list. You want proof that she is great. How about her being a 7 time Women's Champion? Even though wwe is scripted, you have to prove yourself to wwe and show them that you deserve to be champion.
