U can't use limewire 2 update ur Ipod. Only Itunes can update ur Ipod. U can drag songs from ur Limewire folder 2 a new playlist in ur Itunes, then xfer the songs 2 ur Ipod.

Try using limewire to download the music. Then use I tunes or Windows Media to download on your Ipod.

Plug in your IPOD when it prompts you search for the music!

Ok, its really simple. U download iTunes. U Download Limewire. U download songs on limewire and once those songs are downloaded, they go into your "Library". All you have to do, is while both Limewire and iTunes are opened, drag the songs from your Limewire library into iTunes. Simple as dragging and droppin. Then when your favorite songs are on iTunes, when u plug in ur iPod, ur iPod will automatically upload every song in iTunes into itself. So basically, u download the song from Limewire, drag it into iTunes, and then plug in ur iPod.

You can't use Limewire, you need iTunes to transfer the songs, Limewire only downloads them for you. Download iTunes free from

www.apple.com

We both use limewire with our iPods.

When you download music from Limewire, it goes into your MY MUSIC folder in your documents. From there... you have to add those files from MY MUSIC to your itunes. This is as simple as opening both a window for your itunes and the my music folder. Highlight the songs you want to move over, click and drag to the LIBRARY folder in iTunes. This should drop those files into your itunes (if it asks if you want to convert, say yes)

Heres the tricky part... when i move music from your library to my ipod... i always create a folder before i plug in my ipod. This allows me to fine tune my list before itunes slows down while it uploads. make sure the songs your put in your folder are CHECKED before you upload them to your ipod. Than plug in your iPod, and drag the folder and drop it on your iPod. Tah-Dah!!

When burning cd's from itunes, make sure all boxes are checked before pressing BURN too... otherwise not everything burns.

you can too use limewire.just need to know where your files go
music on your computer
1. Open iTunes
2. Click on File. There are a couple of options:
* Add File to Library - this is for adding one song at a time.
* Add Folder to Library - use this to make your existing music folder the iTunes Music folder.
* Import - this will copy your songs into the iTunes Music folder (meaning you'll have 2 copies of those songs).

*if you can not find it locate the file and drag it itunes or click right, open with itunes

I don't know how limewire works, but I have found for my MP3 I download to my computer, connect my MP3, then transfer onto my MP3. If the music won't transfer, is your IPOD memory full?

Hope this helps.
