Recent inteligence reports have solidified Russia and China against US lead sanctions in the US

Russia and China who hold veto's will not allow furthersanctions to pass - and have said so

Bush will be at a dead end once more as he was in the Iraq war

He will push for the "colition of the willing" and have few supporters In the end he will either be forced to:

Attack on his own risking all out world war with Russia and or China

Or he will shut up and back off forever to be known as the President who said

Danger danger Will Robinson

Which will he choose

World war 3 or shut the f--k up and leave well enough alone ?

If world war 3 starts and the nuclear holocost begins I will blame Bush not Putin ----

How about you ?

I think, judging by what has been going on at the CIA (release of the truth about Iraq's nukes, revelation about destroying tapes) that there is an internal revolt going on in the Intel community. Most likely because they want their grandkids to have a world to grow up in..

Thank God there are a few intelligent and independent men left there.

Bush will not start a war with Iran, or any other mightier world powers, for that matter. He's 11 months from getting out of office, and he's opposed by Congress, the UN, and the vast majority of the other nations on the planet.

He may have been cavalier to invade Iraq, but he doesn't have the support to follow through with another costly war. The difference between then and now: we have another 5 years behind us since 9/11, and the momentum is lost; the evidence of a lack of WMDs has come to light BEFORE we were able to invade, and al quaeda is in such disrepair that nobody would take an Iranian/terrorist connection seriously.

My prediction: Bush will sit quietly (well, besides the insignificant party-line rhetoric) for the rest of his term, and he'll go down in history as the worst president since Coolidge (maybe of all-time, the votes are being recounted).

War in China or Russia? Actually, I think him initiating a war in Iran would be far more likely. And why do I say this? Because his rhetoric on Iran has not changed a bit ever since the NIE report.

I pray every day that reasonable heads will prevail! Hopefully we can get someone in there in 2008 who isn't such a war-monger!

Both Bush AND the Congress will be blamed. The congress has to approve his moves.
If WW111 starts that will be the least of our worries anyway.
