okay im 13 my mom keeps insisting im not a virgin.but i am.i swear.n e ways she keeps saying shes going to go and get me checked. how is it done?what do they look for? i always thought they check if your cherrys been popped.is that how? what if when i wear tampons they poppoed it?

my "cherry" had popped before I had sex for the first time. it can just happen naturally, during sports, tampons, many different things. If your mom does take you to the doctor, you can ask the doctor to explain to your mom that your hymen can be broken other ways. good luck, I really hope you arent having sex this young.

your cherry can be popped by other things then just a penis. U can pop it by riding a bike or inserting tampons. if u insert your fingers while masturbating that will pop it also. playing sports at school will also pop it. Your mom should know all this. Only you know if you ever had sex and nobody can prove any different. And no, your hymen can not grow back once it is broken. It is a one time deal.

A Dr will not be able to tell if you have had sex or not. Even if he could tell, by law he can not tell your mom. It is call patient Dr confidentiality. Your hymen can break from many things other then sexual intercourse.

Unless you had sex the day before the appointment she cannot and NO ONE cannot tell if you are a virgin.
The hymen (overrated) can be lost by vigorous activity NOT just sex.

They check to see if the hymen is broken. Once you have sexual intercourse its broken and that is why it can hurt the first time and bleeding may occur. Thats what is meant by popping the cherry.

they check that your hymen is still in tact. also known as a cherry, its a thin layer of skin partially covering your vaginal opening, which was most likely broken if you wear tampons or masterbate. tell your mom you r telling the truth and to mind her own business. but then again, i dunno, but you may be of a certain background where the hymen is checked before marriage. my friend is apart of a family like that. personally i would feel violated if my family was like that.

they take you to the obgyn and check your hymen... the hymen is that thing that it busted after you have sex ... thats why sex hurts the first time... my mom used to threaten me with that when i was younger too...tell her to check you then!
