After a long and tragic life, Mama finally died. And while we had been at swords points most of the time, I took care of her for several years before she left us. As I got older I came to realize that my mother was mentally ill, and that extreme anger was her way of coping with unresolved grief. Her only other child, my brother, was mentally disabled, and my father ( when around) was very abusive to all of us.
Several months before Mama died I moved her closer to us. We placed her in a good nursing home where my daughter could check on her daily and I could get over weekly. Gradually we became aware that she was declining. A priest was called to perform the Last Rites. Mama would not eat anything, although we did keep her hydrated. She refused to sit in my lap, and kept turning her head to the wall. Hoping to ease her passing, I recited prayers of her Catholic faith over and over. Then a song came to me, something Mama played and sang to me when I was only six years old and well before our battles began. Its called "It Had to Be You" and among the words are "with all your faults I love you still." I now realize that the song was my way of telling her "I'll love you forever", because of course its true. Through my own anger I have slowly come to realize that Mama did the best she could. Many of my own talents and abilities are reflections of hers. With all her faults, I'll love her forever. Go with God, Mama. Rest in peace.

A room full of neurotic gardeners is not my idea of a great evening. But here i am stuck in the middle of some sort of a wierd yearly gardeners gathering and all alone i beweep my outcast state. I do not fit in here as it seem to be a whole different world. The world will little note nor long remember my presence here. I find my self far from the madding crowd and thinking about how you'll be my tootsie wootsie in the good old summertime.. Suddenly i am brought back to reality by a random question about dirty knees and i dismiss it quickly by saying" I'll need to check with my physic advisor about that". I find my self drifting again....... To the moon, Alice, to the moon! That's where your thoughts take me! It is over now and and i am glad that they are shouting "Nip it! NIP IT IN THE BUD!!", as I know now that i am free to go and wander with my thoughts of you....

It was a terrible car crash. I was thrown clear of the wreckage, but he was not. I could see that he was hurt badly and only had a short time before the inevitable. I crawled to him on my hands and knees and cradled his head on my lap. The tears streaming down my face. I kissed his cooling lips and as he closed his eyes and took his last breath, he said, "I'll love you forever."

I was walking my girlfriend's black pet poodle. I strolled on in and decided to pick up a hot chocolate. I sat down. An Greg (the dog) jumped up and down. I motion my finger to my lip. He decide not to listen. The latte boy said "Either shut that dog like up or your gone lady!" I didn't want to go out into the darkness where the gray clouds migrated. So I picked little greg up and said "Please be quiet." But he refused to listen. I was forced out into the warring winds. As walked back over to my little apartment. A man wearing a brown shirt and black pants lying on the street with crooked teeth said "Spare a dime and I'll love you forever." I gave him a buck I figured I could us all the love I could get.

"I'll love you forever",That's what I said to my little Silky Terrier who died in my arms about 4 years ago. She was set free from a Puppy Mill-to roam a trailer park. A customer brought her to me because she didn't think it was right to leave the little dog alone all day while she worked. I had a difficult time getting the dog to walk around the house because she lived all of her life in a kennel, used as a breeder. Her favorite place to sit was with me in my chair. Her name was Cricket, weighed about 3 pounds. She had about 3 good years with us anyway. We have a little memorial dog with her name on it in our garden.

The Cybermen were expecting me. A barrage of ionic pulses, a platform rigged with electro-magnetic mines, and a crudely painted sign that said, "NO DALEKS" failed to sway my onslaught.

"EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" I bellowed, randomly firing my laser cannon into the swarm of moaning and falling Cybermen. What a bunch of freaks.

I entered the smouldering hulk of their mother ship, throwing caution to the wind as I advanced upon their sentrys, blasting away with furious, megolomaniacal glee. I even paused to blow up their DVD collection, which was really nothing more than a stack of "Bicentennial Man". How does Robin Williams keep finding work?

Finally, I entered the Dark Quadrant. The Cyber-Leader, a black and chrome specimen armed with the most advanced array of weaponry and cold-blooded logic, confronted me immediately. My armor was singed and my circuits badly damaged, but in the end I produced the Golden Shaft of Tyras and skewered him with it. Cybermen HATE gold. He was dead before hitting the floor.

Using the last of my reserve power, I blasted open the Cyber-Leader's sealed vault. After the smoke cleared, I heard a familiar sound.

"Mrawr?"

"Ernie!" I cried, lifting up the fuzzy orange cat with my dented plunger-arm thingy. He purred and purred, and was even clutching a jar full of Heinz Genuine Sour Dills. He'd remembered my birthday!

"Let's go, fuzzball," I said, programming the Cybermen's ship to self-destruct in 10 minutes. That'll learn them to steal my friend. I cradled my cat and high-tailed it out of there, and by the time the hillside was absorbed by a fiery reddish orb, I was already home giving Ernie a fresh bowl of cream and his own pickle.

Looking around to make sure no one else could hear, I leaned over the content tubby tabby. "I'll love you forever."

END

I love you so deeply,
I love you so much,
I love the sound of your voice,
And the way that we touch,

I love your warm smile,
And your kind, thoughtful way,
The joy that you bring,
To my life everyday,

I love you today,
As I have from the start,
And I'll love you forever,
With all of my heart.

Sunshine:"Hi, baby. What's new?" She smiled.
Matt grinned and kissed her. He explained all that had happened.
They took the baby with them into the bedroom.
She was carefully placed in a make-shift "crib" between Matt and Sunshine.
A sudden noise woke her up . She looked at Sunshine.....
"WAHHHHHHHH."
Sunshine :" So much for Silent Night."
Matt:" Here. Let me hold her, Sunny. She feels secure in my arms."
Sunshine kissed Matt on the cheek....." I understand completely how she feels."
The baby started sucking on Matt's finger.
Matt looked at Sunshine and then at Baby Girl......" We're going to make sure that you have yourself a merry little Christmas ......Little one."

AND NOW THE CONCLUSION:

Matt awoke in the night and looked at the baby, nestled next to Sunshine. He watched as the moonlight danced across both of their faces. ......"Ahhh.....Love's pure light," he whispered. "Goodnight, ladies." He wondered how Sunshine was going to handle all of this. She was bonding with Little Girl. Would she be able to part with her, once they found a home for her?

Hours later Matt was awakened by a soft, gentle...."Cooooo." Sunshine was playing with the baby. Matt yawned and gave her a wink.
Thanks to Festus taking over duties in town, it was possible for Matt to stay home. They spent the rest of the day playing and napping with Baby Girl.
When Matt went back to work the next day, all he thought about was Sunshine and the baby. As soon as he could, he left town and headed for home. He walked in the livingroom and found Sunshine singing to an entralled audience:

♫ " And when I close my eyes to sleep...... I'll dream sweet dreams of you~~~~~~~♫"

Matt leaned over and kissed the baby's cheek. Sunshine was humming. He nuzzled her neck and held her tightly. He had news to share.
A family had been found who wanted very much to adopt the baby. When he told Sunshine, he was prepared for tears...Even anger.
Sunshine :"Ohhhh, that's wonderful." She started crying."This darling child deserves a loving family. Have you met them, Matt?"
Matt was stunned by her acceptance:"Yes. Yes, I have. They are a fine young couple."
He stood up and walked over to the window:"In fact, they'll be here in an hour or so."

He went into the bedroom and saw her few items of clothing, laundered and folded carefully. Sunshine came in and put the baby next to him. Matt lay down and looked at her.
Sunshine:"Are you okay, darling?"
Matt cuddled close to her:"I just want to breathe her in, you know. I just want to...." Tears came.
Sunshine lay next to Matt, gently wrapping yourself around him. The three of them stayed like this until the knock at the door.

As they watched Baby Girl riding off with her new parents, Matt broke down. Sunshine held him tightly as she, too, started crying. They looked back at the road and caught their last glimpse of the departing buckboard.
Sunshine:" I'll Love You Forever", Baby Girl."
Matt:" And I'll love YOU, forever, SunnyMac."
