Battlefield 2 and 2142 do work on windows vista(32 or 64 bit). Depending on your processor you should be able to play them game reasonably well at 1280x1024 with that video on high with no AA. By reasonably well I mean 20-25 fps. If you are building a gaming computer then I would go with an Intel core 2 duo processors as they give better performance than AMD processors; approximately 5-7 more fps. Depending on what size monitor and what games you want to play I would get another video card as the 2600 Pro is not the best for its price.

I you have a 17" or 19" then you would probably be playing games at 1280x1024. If you plan on playing directx 9 games(Battlefield 2 and 2142 are DX9) then I would get a cheap nvidia 7950 gt off of ebay for around $80 which will give you about twice the performance of ATI 2600 Pro. If you have a 20"-24" you would probably be playing games at 1600x1200. At that resolution the 7950 gt will still do, but you might consider buying a 7950 gx2 or a 7900 gtx off of ebay. If you want to buy a DX10( geforce 7 is not DX10) graphics card your best bet is either an HD 3870 or an 8800gt. Anything cheaper won't give you the performance of a 7950 gt and the 8800 gt is almost as good as an 8800 gtx. Whatever you do buy the cards off of ebay, as they are cheap and just as good as cards bought from the store. Also don't get the ATI 2600 Pro and try to get a dual core cpu@2.4 ghz to get best performance from your games

I ought to assert that i'm not delicate with the assumption of identity enjoying cards. We already have identity that we are able to supply while required (utilising licence, passport, etc.) and that i don't see the will for from now on. I additionally dislike the certainty that it incredibly is the wide-unfold public who will ought to fund those enjoying cards - estimates have long gone as much as £one hundred+, which seems extra advantageous than severe. in general, however, i'm worried with regards to the style of information which would be saved on the enjoying cards: fingerprints, iris scans, blood types, etc. i'm very uncomfortable with this a lot information being saved approximately me on a important database. i understand the previous adage that 'it won't remember in case you have not something to disguise', yet i don't agree. I dislike the thought the government might have those form of information, I evaluate it an infringement upon my civil liberties; yet moreso i'm worried with regards to the protection of the information. i'm particular that we are going to learn that there will be a great type of protection measures, yet, permit's settle for it, the living house workplace won't be able to come across its own backside so i don't believe it to guard my information and defend them from fraudsters and identity thieves. i'm particular that identity enjoying cards will come to Britain - this government does regardless of it likes without connection with the persons - yet I, for one, won't help them.

Well, yes. Just make sure your audio card AND your graphics card have at least 256MB of memory each on top of the memory on the mother board. And I'd go with Windows XP PRO for an OS, but that's just me.
