Myself. When I'm in self-reflection for the sole purpose of seeking out the doubts inside of me to "conquer" them, or at least lessen their influences, the reflection tends to be overwhelming, and when I continuously think about how to solve it, it forces me to constantly look over and over the doubt countless times, therefore slowly manipulating my own mind that the doubt has grown stronger, bigger, and more solid.
That's why I just tend to ignore my doubts, and instead of taking a full blown self-reflection period, I now take self-reflection over a time of period, making it just as good, but less overwhelming.
When it comes to relgious doubts, I try to solve them my self my various ways such as simply thinking about it, talkign with other christians, or reading the Bible, but usually I just pray on it since I'll always have doubts, and it's pure driven faith that will bring me through it.

Absence makes me wonder what is going on.
I don't know if that is doubt but it leads me to it.
So the answer is loneliness.
