Music. Music affects my mood so much, although you have to beware of listening to "dark" music that will only exacerbate your current mood. I fall into that trap once in a while.
There are a couple shows I watch that, no matter what kind of mood I am, they make me smile and laugh and feel normal again. They are "Whose Line is it Anyway?" and "Coupling", which is a BBC show, kind of like Friends, only with British humour (not Monty-Python-ish) and more about sex. I don't know your personality or anything, so you might absolutely hate these shows, but that is what does it for me.
Do you have any pets? Cuddling with one of those helps, too. We just got a new puppy, and you can't be anything but giddy when you look at him play.

I do yoga or try to just clear my head of whatever is the cause of the dark mood. If it a person that caused the dark mood, then distance yourself from them. If it's just a bad day, I love snacking and corny movies with friends :)

Music. Often when I'm in a bad mood I'll listen to bad mood type music and wallow in self pity for a bit. it can be fun. But when the time comes to pull my sh!t together I change music and come right out of it.

Work and reading work best for me. It doesn't happen often but when I do have a "dark mood" I avoid any alcoholic beverages - for no other reason than "dark moods" and drinks don't mix.

I rarely get into a "dark" mood, but when I do, it is the lovely look on my children's faces that immediately brings me about... how could I disappoint them?

aww lots of things actually :)
(and no,I'm not the stereotypically "happy" person, by any means.)
My other half && talking to him/cuddling with him/seeing him smile/spending time with him in general :]
His son/my stepson :) cause he's adorable && really smart && thoughtful && reminds me that life is sometimes only as complicated as we make;
I like drinking hot things- coffee (I adore the smell), hot chocolate (yumm...need I say more?), tea, etc. when I'm upset too.
Also rain :) I love walking in it ^_^

I walk and walk down the road until I get tired and then I'm back on my feet again. It is my way of releasing bodily and psychological tensions.
