of getting something someone sent you in the regular mail tomorrow when they mailed it out this morning in the regular mail and they live about 10 miles away ?

good if they got it out early enough...but it might get there until monday..not to much mail sorting is done on saturday

Ten miles away? The odds are pretty good, actually. It really depends more on how they mailed it. If they went to a post office, you'll more than likely see it tomorrow. If they put it in their box, it'll take longer because of:
1) The time it just sat in the mailbox waiting to be picked up.
2) The time of day the mail route goes through that area--the later it is, the more chances the mail won't make it to the sorting room before the post office is closed, making it take an extra day.
3) The sheer volume of mail the post office has to sort. Especially this time of the year, with all the holiday cards and letters which flood the regular humdrum mail.
4) The time YOUR mailman picks up his stash in order to set out on his own route. If you tend to get your mail later in the day, the odds are better for you recieving *whatever* tomorrow.

Actually the chances are more likely to be more like Monday than tomorrow because when you mail something out it has to go thru a processing at tha post office and then it gets sent on its way so more like Monday but then again you might get lucky it just depends on when it got back to the post office if it was picked up and got back before 3pm then you just might but goodluck and hopefully you'll get it tomorrow espacially if it was important! they should get it 2 days after u mail it. But tomorrow is Saturday, so its gonna leave on Monday and get to them on Wednesday! but they will get it. The chances are very good! :)

it depends if you live in a town or a city, towns might see that the package is going somewhere local and pull it from the regularly sorted mail. OR it may be sitting there waiting to be sorted

Since it's the holidays, maybe. I would expect it the day after tomorrow. Depends how early in the day they mailed it.

Your not going to get it unless it's one-day delivery. Mail ussually comes two to three days later, and no mail on Sundays.

small chance. they pick it up today. it will probably be organized tomorrow. then on sunday they will deliver it.
