1st - as a humorous reply: I don't know where I get my energy and if I find where it is or where it went today, I'll go grab it 'round the neck and haul it back in! lol TODAY is not one of my energetic days....;-)
However, on a serious note - One thing I have learned about energy is doing begets energy...meaning I have been and sometimes still go where you are as you described. Wake up tired, go to work tired, come home tired and go to bed tired...do little or nothing and get more tired. YET, when I force myself to get up, do something, go outside, walk, do some housework, whatever, I find I feel better and regain some energy.
Physiologically it has been proven. You MUST move in order to gain energy and get the 'juices' flowing that make one feel better.
The body is a complex organism and needs to be 'fed' in one way or another. Note: folk who are bedridden for too long a time experience just what you are experiencing. Which is why hospitals try to get folk up and walking ASAP
It can be a thing of mind over matter and forcing yourself to move.....if that does not produce results over a few days or so, then, yes, see your doctor. It could very well be a case of thyroid malfunction; diabetes or a wealth of other treatable issues.
Check into free clinics in your area. If you are in the US, they can be found and I wish you respite from this! :-)

Well, I'm 64 and put in hard 12 hour days at work. When I get home I am too tired to do much of anything. But on my off days I feel like I could do anything. I do have time for a lot of things since I get only 5 hours of sleep a day. It does help that I have the mind of a 16 year old. Anyone care for a race around the block?

1st you need a schedule. I am 66 and have emphysema which really hampers ones activities! But I get up at 10 AM (yes 10) - make coffee - decaf - and breakfast. Clean up the dishes, wipe down the kitchen counters and empty the kitty litter box along with the garbage. Then I have to rest and use some oxygen. Then I dress (usually sweats), sit and watch Jeopardy (got to keep the mind active). Read the paper. Dust around the house (nothing too much), and then rest and use the oxygen again. Then its time for my midday drink (fruit juice), and maybe a walk in the yard, then think about my dinner - you get the picture - - - do as much as you can each day and do it well. Eat well too (this is where you get your energy) and you will sleep well. I go to bed around midnight! No wrinkles - no eye bags - have maintained same schedule for past 15 years - since hubby died! I don't know but I would guess that you are so tired because you " sit around all day". You are probably out of condition. If I just sit around most of the day, I actually get weak and get tired just doing light housework. I also take vitamins , eat very little meat ( even though I love it) I also try not to eat sweets or snacks very often. I'll bet if you started walking a little each day a couple of times and increasing your time and how far you walk a little each week you would see a difference in a month. I hope you feel better soon dear. I know how you must feel.
I've been there and done that.

re educate your self on what your body needs at your age if you not already eating better start now...If you drink sodas cut back DO NOT drink diet soda's or use any of those phony sugar...If you are not drinking water drink more and if you would like to lose a little weight drink ice cold water.....
When you get up to go pee because you are drinking more water. Open the door and just take a few steps outside....Breath deeply...When you wake up in the morning
do simple stretching. Get a pedometer the first day just have a normal day see how many steps you take then add more each day......When you have no energy the last thing you want to hear is to move more....Just remember if you don't use it you will lose it. Fish oil like in Salmon only buy wild salmon.....
I wish you could get blood work done so many little thing could be wrong that would take your energy.......
Hey you are 63 year's young be good to you...Take it slow keep the faith..........abuela:)

The drawback with this simplistic analogy is that it's unattainable to drive vigor to supply subject. It occurs at very small scales, however seeing that of entropy, loose vigor or vigor within the kind of sunshine or warmness is way a lot more most probably than vigor being compelled to be established mass. The opposite procedure, nonetheless, is finished. Nuclear explosions are a outcome of the opposite procedure, that's, mass changing into vigor. It will have to be famous that no longer the entire uranium/plutonium mass is annihilated in a response, so you don't see explosions which could cripple the sector ( that little 9x10^sixteen joules you may have up there). Only a small quantity of the fabric honestly annihilates. To realize simply how severe that is, simply open a e-book and appear on the imply lifetime of a particle comparable to a pion, which offers up the exceptional majority of its mass whilst it decays into an electron/positron and photon.

No wonder you're tired. You need to be active to stay active. Sitting around and sleeping are both energy busters. Plan out your day so that you have something to do after you get up in the morning, every morning, even if it is merely going for a walk. Do some projects that you have been putting off. After I retired, I started watching my 18 month old grandson. He is now over three years old. I am up every morning at 5:30, just like I was when I worked for the DOD. I am at my daughter and son-in-laws house by 6:30 a.m. I get their two older kids around for school during the school year, and spend the day with them and their little brother during the summer. I have most Fridays off, so that is the day that I clean house, so my wife won't have to when she gets home from work (she is six years younger than me, and won't be eligible to retire for five more years). During the week when I am watching my grandson, I do laundry, get groceries and take care of any other household chores that need to be done. I take care of the yard work and take care of the pool during the summer. I scoop snow and play outside with my grandson in the snow in the winter. I would go crazy if I wasn't busy. I told my wife that when I retired, I wanted to be busy, but did not want to go to work. It is easy to keep active, but you have the ambition to want it too. Good luck!

Force yourself to get dressed and go for a walk...only a coupla blocks to start. You will feel SO energized when you return.
Don't turn on the TV - at least in the morning. Turn on the radio, play CD's. Scrub the toilet while the coffee is brewing.
Get in the car and go for a drive with music playing on your radio... Pack a little lunch and go to the park - take a book.
Volunteer to rock AIDS/HIV babies at the nursery at your local hospital.
Volunteer to help deliver Meals on Wheels a coupla days a week ---- you will meet oldsters who are truly housebound and cannot go anywhere, ever.
The most important thing for you to do is GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE at least once a day... MOVE your body...walk a little.
At 63, you are way too young to sit and rot. Life is very short..and you don't get a re-do. Better get hopping at something or you will miss it all.

Hello CC,
Well I am older than you R by another year, however, I am rather energetic. My husband usually cannot keep up with me when I am working out in my garden.
My suggestion 2 U:
Take a multi vitamin daily.
Start with a good breakfast, a nutritious lunch and a light supper.
Drink enough fluids like water.
Go and take walk daily to get some fresh air.
Get to bed at a reasonable hour - U need UR sleep.
Go and join an exercise group at the local YMCA
Get involved in some kind of hobby to get your creative juices flowing.
Believe me, all the above things will help you in getting off the sofa and out into the world. I go to work out 3x weekly and feel great after my 1 1/2 hour workout. Try it, you might like it.

I would suspect that you have
low thyroid, OR you have very
poor nutrition. Your body is
not getting the proper nutrients
to keep you going. OR
there is some underlying
chronic illness that is zapping
your strength.
Bad teeth will do this, chronic arthritis will do this,
depression will do this.
the cheapest help I can give
you is to go over into the
alternative health section and
start asking lots of questions.
If you take care of your body
it will take care of you. If
you do not, you will be tired
all the time and die early.
