I mean during the Civil War. What would it have costed in the 1860s to buy a newspaper in the South during the Civil War?

The New York Tribune cost 4 cents in 1864 (see site)

In 1860, prices for papers in the South would have been very similar to the North. By 1864 there was inflation in the Confederacy, but not so much in the North where finances were sound. I can't find a Richmond 1860 newspaper front page that shows the price, but I'd guess it was no more than 4 cents.
Harper's Weekly was noted for illustrations which would make it a bit pricier as a weekly.

5 cents for the Harper's Weekly, which was published once a week.

Go to this site to read the papers. Starting in 1861.
