will someone sum it up for me? i am going to get it soon-bookfair is monday and it's friday but is it worth getting? plz don't answer and say "i loved it and i'm not giving it away"!! tell me wat u like about it-and is it sad or happy?

Much of it is sad because, for most of the story, Edward and his family have left Forks and Bella is in despair thinking she will never see them again. So if what you're looking for is a lot more Edward, you'll be disappointed.
The plot is mainly about Bella developing a friendship with Jacob Black while Edward is gone. In the course of it, she discovers that vampires aren't the only strange creatures in Forks, as well as learning that another danger threatens her. Towards the end, one of the Cullens does show up, and rushes off with Bella on a mission to save Edward.
I thought that 'Twilight' was a little better, but if you enjoyed it, you'll probably also enjoy 'New Moon'.

First of all, the author's name is STEPHENIE Meyer. Respect it, please. And ALWAYS check for typos. It's embarrassing.
As for your question, the sadness or happiness of the book depends on what you are. Are you a Jacob for Bella fan or an Edward for Bella fan (like me)? Because if you are the latter, then New Moon IS sad because a HUGE majority of the book happens without Edward's presence and instead only Jacob's.
But in the end it's happy because that's where everything becomes clear to Bella and Edward. New Moon is when they realize everything that really matters to them.
Though I am a Jacob-hater, I must say that you HAVE to buy the book because 1 - There are events there that would mark their lives and yours (as it did mine). 2 - Turning points happen there as well so you wouldn't understand Eclipse if you didn't read New Moon
And most importantly, you SHOULD buy it because it's part of the Twilight series ... which is the BEST series in this planet. It's simply a MUST to have all the books. :)

Well first of all did you read the book before it? If not, I would wait to buy it and read Twighlight first.
If you havent read either book:
it is about a girl who moves to live with her dad, and there are vampires in the school. One of the vampires and here have a strange attraction for each other and soon there lives intertwine. GREAT love story with some drama and bad guy fighting.
If you Have already read twighlight:
Edward wants to do whats best for Bella. In the process of doing that he destroys here. It is a very depressing book, but I couldn't put it down. It's not all depressing though, she gains a friend and theres werewolves in this one.. lets just say the entire time you will be thinking "EDWARD COME BACK!!!!"

I loved the book. It was very sad and heart wrenching.
In New Moon, Edward Cullen, one of the main characters makes a decision that will change his life for...a couple of long months. Would it be wrong to tell what the decision was? Yes, you say? OK, then I shall keep it to myself.
Well, the book then goes on to tell about how Bella managed to get through those months.
I'm so very horrible at summarizing things while trying to keep the parts of a story a secret. Google it!

I LOVE it and I think it is mostly sad I cried a lot, but there is also some funny parts too!! The end was happy though because....well I shouldn't give it away!!=) YOU HAVE TO READ IT!!!!<3

i cried in the first five chapters... its sad, read it to find out.. its an awesome book, its sad at the beginning but happy at the end. it just keeps u turnin the pages. hope u enjoy the book series as much as i did! its pretty much bout jacob this time. it is DEFINITLY worth getting. i love the fact that edward and bella are gonna be together. =] thats all imma say bout the book

i love it and you will too if you read the first one thought you should probrably get eclipes as well so you are not left hanging. It is a great book that has some sad parts but it end on a good note. thats all i can say without really giving it away.

omfg i love that book!!!! Edward breaks up w bella and leaves her and the middle is about her dealing w it then at the end they r reunited in italy where edward tries to kill him self because he thinks bella is dead it is soooo sad!!! its one of my fav. books!!

its depressing, definately.. but i prefer twilight and eclipse over it.. cus i think its wayy depressing.. but you should buy it.. i cant believe i'm not allowed to buy it!! my parents are so stupid!! plus, i dont get an allowance!! ><
