It depends on how close you are. I suggest you just keep the fact that you know to yourself and let him come to you. Maybe start a conversation with him about things like crossdressing and let him know that you think it's okay...but don't push him to tell you. If he tells you great, if not then leave it alone.

if you are close friends, dont buy him this.
just let sometimes give hints ( the next time anything like that comes up)
be like : "who really cares. people shoulld just accept people for who they are."i did this with my best guy friend because i knew he was gay. but he didnt know that i knew. so i would occasionally make comments like " why do people judge?!" etc..
and eventually he knew he could confide in me.
and let him do this on his own with you. when hes rady to tell his secret, he will tell you.
you just have to be there for him.
buting him a girft like that may come across mean on some levels, because he may end up opening it infront of others or may just find it rude.
because if he isnt tellin anyone, it ovbiously is a personal thing.
wait until he is extremely comfortabe enough to talk to you about it.
dont force it out of him
i hope i helped you out.

If he wants you to know about his cross dressing, he'll tell you. We all have the right to keep some things in our lives private. I think that would be a rotten thing to do to someone that I view as a close friend. If and when he's ready, he'll let you know.

I think it'd be a great idea to give that boy you knew who likes to cross-dress a complete outfit for Christmas, I'd love it myself. It seems you know he likes to cross-dress & that you want to help him, so I suggest two things, actually I have three ideas: 1. give him a complete outfit for a girl's night out: bra, panties, garter belt, stockings, 5" heels, breastforms, wig, make-up, jewelry & take him on a girls night out. 2. dress him up as Ms. Clause for a Christmas party, complete with short Ms. Clause mini-dress, 5" heels, red fishnet stockings over white stockings, which are held up my the corset that gives you a nice figure, pluse breastforms, full make-up, nails & a long curly auburn wig. And for New Years Eve, get him the same outfit he wore on Christmas Eve, but make everyhing be in black & on New Years Day, you can make him wear the same outfit, but make it be in white satin & lace.
I'd love the gifts & would'd dress-up in everything you brought me on Christmas & New Years too.

The age of your friend is important. If he is a young teen, then no... If he is over the legal age, then I would buy him something. Nice panties and a matching garter belt would be nice. Or you could give him a gift certificate to an exotic lingerie store and offer to go with him...

Nooo!!! First you should tell them. You dont want them to go and open the present right in front of someone they dont know or someone walking in and seeing do you? It would be really bad to do that because then they might be not only embarrassed but mad at you for exposing their secret.

why would he need to bring it out into the open?
there's nothing wrong with cross-dressing.
and unless you two are like best friends...
just don't do that for him.

...only if he was a very good friend..and not in public.
he may not want it to be out in the open.
..respect his privacy..I wouldn't give him anything.
let him believe he has a secret...for a while longer.
