I have a 1960's 13' Boston Whaler and upon flipping it, because it's so old, the weight of the boat made a crack from the rub rail, all the way to just before the hull. I would like to know how to fix this. Should i just grind out along the crack, plug it with fibers and cover it with cloth? Thank you.

Not on a Boston Whaler there so thin & foamed filled>Hard to patch>Try it make the patch at least 3" Wider than the crack>Don't grind much off as it very thin skined>The problem is the sun has made the hull brittle>
