"The Catcher and the Rye", it's my favorite book to this day. I've been out of high school about 8 years and I still read that book at least 3 or 4 times a year.

To Kill A Mockingbird - it's a classic and required reading for a reason. wonderful book.
The Scarlet Pimpernel - wow, a book that I had to read for school was actually FUN and ENJOYABLE!! wow. I still read that one pretty often.
The Phantom of the Opera - okay, so that wasn't assigned reading. but I READ it in highschool, so I figure that counts. I read that one frequently too. The end always makes me cry.
and also
The Picture of Dorian Gray. Terribly tragically sad ending - that one makes me cry too.
I don't know which one is my favorite - I love them all.
I can't pick just one!
:O)

Memoirs of a geisha, before the movie came out. Awesome book. Also the Princess Bride.
Didn't really like any of the assigned books we had to read - The Crucible maybe. Also To Kill a Mockingbird.
