I know this is the second time I ask but I'm forgeting very important details..

Symtoms-
I have hair on my legs, armpits, and down there.
Breasts- a little sore.
Im 12 and in 7th grade and have not started my period.

Ok today... I was at Casey's and I had this sudden discharge that was clear and it was much heavier than normally.. I have had a NORMAL discharge.. for about 4-5 months..

If it's on it's way will I be able to wear light colored blue jeans...
And I should put pads in my backpack?? huh?

If you are this concerned that it might be your period, yes carry around some protection. To be safe and not risk UTTER HUMILIATION...wear dark pants. If you were to start your period and not know the blood would be oh so noticeable trough light jeans!

I was 12 when I started my period as well. I think you may be getting yours soon. I did not have sore breasts, but this is an indication of a coming period for some women. Also, almost all women (myself included) get a heavier discharge right before it comes. If you start to have mood swings, that is also an indicator. Be prepared, go out and buy pads. I suggest starting with pads for the first couple of months because tampons can be a bit scary to use at first. If you start at school unprepared keep a sweatshirt with you so that if you leak you can cover it with the sweater while you go find someone to give you a pad or can change your pants. Lastly, wear a panti liner over the next few days in case it does come.
Cheers and congrats on entering the threshold of womanhood.

P.S. Beingirl.com is a great website to checkout for info you can get free samples of pads and other stuff. but your mom is also a great source, trust me, she will be more then happy to help.

This clear discharge can be an indication that the period is coming soon as well as the sore breasts.

As for light colored jeans I did on occasion but made sure I checked my pads in the minutes in between classes so that they wouldn't stain the jeans.

As for keeping pads in your bcakpack yes, that's a good idea to have them in case you should start while in school.

I would recommend talking to your mom as well for additional information.

what's discharge? usually before i start my period i get this white stuff.. dunno what that means. i had hair down there and on my legs when i was 10, and didnt start my period until i was 11. you should be safe and carry around tampons, because you dont know if you're going to be a heavy flower or not. i wear light colored jeans when i have my period but thats because i wear tampons and i dont usually leak because i get the good kinds but with pads there can be an odor and people would know because they might see it.

i got my period when i was 10 right after a major growth spurt and whenever you first start your period it should just be light, so you don't need to carry around something really heavy or anything, just a light pad ( i manged to get by on my 1st few periods with panty liners)
