i have a 1997 3000gt , and i need to change my motor mounts and i was wondering if anyone had done them before. maybe someone has some hints or tricks if you do please let me know

Motor mounts? Are you talking about the roll stops that are mounted on the support bar under the transmission, or the motor and transmission mounts near each of the front fenders? The center support can be removed without jacking up the engine and transmission, it's only there to support the roll stop that frequently goes bad and causes the motor to torque twist too much which will ruin the exhaust system at the flex joints. If indeed the motor mount or transmission mount is bad you will need a floor jack to support the motor or transmission while installing new mounts. Normally only the rool stop is the worn part.
