What would do if your husband didn't want to buy you gifts on his own and made you come with him. Also, I have to invite myselft on this adventure, since he never offers. He doesn't do it for holidays either unless I take him to the store, pick it out and then remind him to wrap it. He also has a thing about buying gifts. If I buy him a gift, he refuses to use it because he has already told me that he doesn't want it.

Well, then leave him alone about it. Stop trying to force what YOU want, onto him.

Just leave him completely out of the picture for the holiday stuff. Concentrate on the rest of your family and friends instead.

Forget about ever getting another gift from him, and forget about ever getting him another gift. He clearly is not interested, so stop trying to force it on him.

I cannot imagine that this is an easy thing to deal with, however; did you know this when you were in the realtionship prior to getting married? If you did, then how can you complain about things now. If he wants nothing to do with any of this, you cannot make him or change him in anyway. you just have to make the very best of the sitation no matter how hard it is. I wish you the best of luck.

I'm a Christian and I celebrate Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, all the holidays. I have no reason as to why not to celebrate it.

I think it sounds like this guy is honestly using his beliefs as an excuse.

Then stop buying him anything. Tell him to give you 200 bucks and go to town for yourself. Don't let it spoil your holiday just because he's a scrooge.

Most women would die for a husband like yours. Do you get along otherwise? I do not see what his being Orthodox Christian has to do with it, though.

Easy fix. You go shopping, get what you want for yourself and wrap it up. As for hubby, get him exactly what he is asking for, nothing.

You must have known this about him before you married him.

Respect his beliefs.

You do know that you cannot change him...right?

So quit trying and love him for who he is.

Good luck.
