i wish i was there so i could show you how. well, look at pictures of stuff that you are interested in. look really close and only look at the shapes. convince yourself that it is not a picture just shapes, then draw those shapes creating something almost beautiful. erase the unneeded lines and shade, experiment, move your pencil in the way you feel. no art is ugly, everything is art. a blade of grass is art, think about it, it is gods art. god put all his thoughts and feelings in each blade of grass. you can do it i know you can!

Concept art is ....well a concept. You need to think of an idea and than make a sketch that makes clear what you thought up.
There is only one way and that is to do it a lot AND check with other people if they see in that sketch what you put in there.
Basically you should start by just drawing a lot, specially what is in your head (and though I hope you have lots of it I don't mean grey matter).
