Ok my x hasnt givin me any support for over a year. In march he was arrasted for possesion of drugs, trafficing and possesion of a replica gun. He spent 6 months in jail. I went and got full custody and the judge said no access. He got out of jail in august and was supposed to give me money from his tax return money. I havent seen anything. I want support from him but unfortunetly Im told there's nothing I can do. He is working now and still not paying. He's gettin paid under the table and refuses to pay unless he can see our son. Now the reason I will not allow that is because he is a drug addict. Before he went to jail he was doing it alot, smoking crack, using needles etc. And he had our son every weekend, I did not know what was going on til he went to jail. Again once he got out of jail he started doing drugs again. I dont want my son to be exposed to that sot of stuff again it disgusts me. Isnt there anything I can do to get child support from him?

Child support and visitation are two separate things.Child support enforcement should go after your support and/or garnish his federal and state returns.

You can't get blood from a turnip. It really sounds like both you and your child would be better off just having this guy out of your life. If you can make your way without him, just work & support your child on your own. You don't want to risk having your child stay with him and being exposed to who knows what. Leave it up to the sheriff's department to collect.

Yes, definitely visit your local child support enforcement agency. Most family lawyers would be willing to point you in the right direction, if you don't have the money to retain one.

If you do have the money to retain a lawyer, you can also file a writ of execution to have the local sheriff pull money out of his bank account(s).
