Bush is asking for a complete exposure of the "axis of evil's" nuclear program by the end of the year. Is this a subtle threat, or an attempt to be nice? ( Bush hates him...called him a "pygmy" ). Think it'll work, or is it a day late and a dollar short?

Linds S: I KNOW this is a very serious situation...that's WHY I asked the question! Bush shunned Kim Jong and said about the "axis of evil", "you don't talk to evil, you end it". That was a threat...the letter is an attempt at diplomacy, though a feeble one!

Please tell me that someone else wrote it.. someone who can actually speak the English language and who can spell diplomacy.

If this was really left to Bush... I suggest we all update our bomb shelters.

Bush is too much of a fool to pull this off...t he leaders of the world think he is a jackass.. and he is!

N.Korea is a large threat to all nations! That the world has a ban on producing more nuclear weapons has not stopped N.Korea from producing the weapons. The are a mass destruction weapon and need to be disabled for the good of the planet. Bush is doing the right thing in wanting to know their capabilities.A lot of countries dislike N.Korea as they are communist and a threat to the rest of the world. N.Korea does not show any diplomacy to any other country why should they expect to be treated better than they treat others? You need to research this since you are asking the question! It is not a desperate attempt and this is not the first attempt to get a disclosure from N.Korea

EDIT: Actually that was the truth you can't reason with evil! So why waste your/his breath. This issue/threat has gone on too long and it is time to do something before the bombs are launched at us! After would be too late. Bush has tried to be diplomatic with N.Korea for years with no success other presidents have tried with no success. They are too close to achieving their goal to be nuclear ready with weapons of mass destruction

Bush will do anything to stop the North Korean nuclear arms program just like sending the letter as the most desperate attempt to appeal to Kim Jong Il.

Excuse me, didn't North Korea shut down its bomb project a few months ago. Sounds to me like the President's diplomacy works better than the "treaty" brokered by Jimmy Carter in the 90s.

Well Bush's diplomacy has worked pretty well so far.

He got Lybia to give up WMD.
He got NK to give up Nukes.
He got iran to shut down its weapons program.
He got israel to dismanttle settlements for the first time ever.
He got israel to withdraw from captured territory(Gaza )

He go the arab nations, israel and the palestinians at a peace conference for the first time EVER !!!

.
Of course all your gonna hear from the liberals, is we could have done it better, sooner, differently.

Of course, I wonder how they can explain why they didn't do any of those things, when they had the presidency from 1993 to 2000.
