If you emailed a talent agency your photos, and they are interested in representing you, and you live in San Jose, Ca, and you need to go down to Los Angeles, do they pay for your transportation and sheltering, or do you have to do that on your own?

also, what fees do you have to pay the talent agency, or anything to be an actor?

No, of course not! As the actor, it is YOUR responsibility to get from your house to your audition. Why should the Talent Agency pay for it?

I recommend that you take a workshop at Actors Connection in Los Angeles, you will learn a lot about the acting business.
Typically, actors pay the Talent Agent a 10% commission. Some agents take their 10% "off the top, and mail the actor a check for his/her acting jobs.

Each Talent Agency is different, you have to ask the agent with whom you will work, about commissions.

Look on ActorsConnection.com

I don't know the cost of the workshop but you may learn something about the acting industry.
