My computer is not alowing me to scroll down on web pages. As soon as I try to scroll down it automatically scrolls back up to the top.

It's also affecting all the drop down menus... as it won't allow me to scroll down. That means that I only have the 'choice' of the first item in the list and won't let me scroll down.

Is it a virus?
Is there anything I can do?

I use a mouse, but it doesn't seem that the problem is with that.

hey, I'm having the same trouble!

now the computer is on remission but I'm afraid it'll go back to it's stubborn behaviour!

I don't think it's got anything to do with the mouse or touchpad or anything like that. I removed most of the programs I don't really need to see if it helped, but just like from a disease, the machine recovered little by little, that's why I'm thinking now it could be some kind of infection, although I'm protected with avast! and I don't do p2p.

Hope someone got an idea about it
cheers

any web site or all web sites?

what if you use page down or page up keys?

any plugins for the browser that might be a factor? try turning them off.

what about a different browser?

does this happen after a reboot?

is your operating system and browser up to date for all security fixes?

if none of that works, then yes, a full security check for viruses and other malware is in order. but you should do that regularly anyway!
