As some of us here know, prog rock bands are notorious for doing songs at least 10+ minutes long. (& I Love my epics, baby!)

We've done 20 mins., we've done 15 mins. Not sure we've ever done it the other way around.

Among mine:

YES - I've Seen All Good People (this is *sorta* cheating. It's about 6:57) :)
Tempus Fugit, Does it really Happen?, Long Distance Runaround (not including "The Fish"), Cinema (rockin instrumental!)

GENESIS- Entangled (this tune is the one that finally drew me into them), Squonk, Can-Utility and the Coastliners.

ELP- Knife Edge, From the Beginning, Lucky Man, & basically all of 'side 2' of 'Tarkus'.

sure. Their song has an identical opinion with me maximum. They have been the 1st Prog band I ever have been given into. I picked up The sure Album, and then on the brink of the sting on cassette 20+ years in the past and grow to be blown away. i presumed Starship Trooper grow to be the main epic element I ever heard. i admire the spectacular musicianship the band has. each member is one in all the very superb at what they do. I evaluate Rick Wakeman for occasion to be the excellent Rock/Prog Keyboardist. If it wasn't for Geddy Lee i might call Chris Squire the excellent Prog Bassist. His Bass on a number of those albums is extensive. (in certainty it is his Bass areas in Wurm that made me fall in love with sure) Steve Howe is an impressive Guitarist and bill Bruford is an excellent superb Drummer (As underrated as Nick Mason even) I additionally love Jon Anderson's voice, and likely's upbeat and mystical lyrical subject concerns. temporarily they only accept as true with me all around, as a rely of certainty i'm this manner of fan that I even love sure 2.0 (The 90125, 80s era version on sure) Many hardcore Prog followers HATE that era with the aid of fact it grow to be (the scary be conscious) Poppy and the songs have been plenty shorter and greater centred. To me nevertheless, that ain't a foul element. 90125 is a hell of an album, if human beings might merely hear with an open recommendations. MA2... one million. Starship Trooper 2. and you and that i 3. Time And A be conscious 4. i've got considered All solid human beings 5. Shoot extreme objective Low MA4: Opeth, I wager you have heard them BA: Jethro Tull and ummmmm....Atheist?
