Yellow stain - could be old/set blood stain (iron rust color).

For future reference:-

* Fresh blood stain removal -

1. Flush as much of the blood away in cold water.
2. Wash with any laundry powder in cold water (Temps >35 C or 95 F set blood stains).
3. Then rinse with cold water.

*** Set blood stains (Yellow rust like stains contain iron) -

For set blood stains, a Phosphoric or Oxalic acid containing rust removers (Try RoVer, Whink - Home Depot) can be used to dissolve stains. Rinse twice with warm water.
Then wash as normal with laundry detergent.

Good Luck!!

when I get stains I buy a bottle of RIT dye and put it on with a toothbrush, let dry and its gone.
