I doubt that this would happen, but it is similar to the EU expansion eastward in 2004. US legislators would never allow this type of union. Just simply look at the immigration debate in the United States, there are too many concerned people here that are unwilling to allow such an exchange between the North American countries as we see in the EU. Too many taxpayers would be unwilling to take on the burden of a what would be massive immigrant flow into the US and it would certainly cripple our tax and healthcare systems within just a few years. There is just no way this would work.

The North American Union is a losing proposition for Canada and America. The only winner is Mexico.
The NAU must not be allowed to happen.
The NAU is on it's way, and we could lose everything if it is permitted.
America for Americans!
Canada for Canadians!
Mexico for Mexicans!
No one in their right mind would want the NAU!

No I'm not i would go to war with either Canada or Mexico if i have a gun to not join the union. I would do it even if I'm the only person.

Free-trade agreement between Canada, Mexico and the United States in the early 1990s was going to be hell on earth. I was wrong: actually turned out pretty well. Whatever is ahead, well, bring it on!

You're dreaming. No way Americans stand for this if it's brought to the floor. Closest you can get is something like the European Union (unlikely). No way The US gives up it's soverignty all-together.

It's not gonna happen. Joining mexico is suicide, we're not that stupid just yet. Don't believe everything you hear.
I also believe that if by some catastrophic chance it DID happen, there'd be bodies lining the streets. There would be civil war. Texas would try to cecede. I would fight for independence myself, were that to happen.

NO! But pay close attention to what members of *BOTH* Parties are doing, have done, or will do... we are being sold out to some "greater good" by those we elected and others. So in this election be *very* careful who you choose at all levels of office.... both in the Primaries and the General Election... or we all soon could be living in MexAmerCan and spending Ameros for everything
