i have a toyota echo and i bought it new and ive only had tuneups...rotating tires...oil changes....and that was pretty much it and theres this web page that says you need to change this every certain miles (or checK)andi never had to change it! and the mechanic didnt find anything else wrong! when i took it to the shop for tire witha hole! i got it new and it is nearly 90000 miles!!! no problem can u say the same about a american car?!?!? as far as maintance goes i bet i would have to do more maintainance...i think toyota parts last longer in general

darell k...no one really does preventative maintance get real....with this bs! most ppl wait until there car breaks down or hear something going on until they decide to changea part!
andt he guy below u...i do simple maintance! thats all i had to do! the mechanic would of said there needs to be something to be replaced!! why would he lie about that when he can make more money working on it genius! stfu!! bitttttchhhhhhhh

The fact that people have parts repaired in most cases would be called preventative maintanace.
Who wants to be stuck on the side of the road?
It sounds like you are running the car into the ground.
Toyota's sales are slumping lately because customer's are unhappy with multiple transmission problems for the last 2-3 years!
How old is you vehicle?

The last Ford van I had did 342,000 all in NYC. 90.000 is nothing for any modern car. The lack of simple maintenance is going to catch up, and one nite you'll walk home, and find your car to be worth about $25.

lot of cars make the 100 k miles these days unless u really abuse them.....but all cars wear out sooner or later toyota sure had problems with there p/u as far as rust went
