Today after i got my which felt like my 500th call from people trying to extend my car warranty, and after reporting it on 800notes later i get another call from a caller id stated "out of area" number so i was like i am going to talk to these people and play along, not give them any true information of course, this call was to lower my credit card rates so i pressed 1 to talk, i got put on the line with a guy who gave his name but never a company name i tell him my name is kevin foster (not my name... made up) and i would like to reduce my rates so he starts calling me "kev" and ask my current rate but doesnt seem to care where the cards are through so i tell him some made up rates and he asks if i still have a large available balance which confirmed to me he was scamin he tells me to call him back on Monday gives me a # and ext. and he will send me a form that i should probably fax not mail to him so he can start reducing my rates right away.. this is so a scam u guys agree?

yeah, it sounds pretty shaky..if they can't give you a number to reach them personally, then i wouldn't do it..maybe you could report it to the better business bureau? you'd need a name of the company tho...

or maybe put your # on the do not call list?

you can google 'do not call list' and find the website where you register (it's good for five years)

Probably just a telemarketer trying to get you to switch to a new credit card company.
