What I mean by where do I begin is after high school. Do I have to have experience like at daycares and things or I simply start taking courses.

Great career choice, you can try to apply at the elementary school of your choice as substitute a teacher; for a few semesters while in college earning your degree.
That is what my sister-in-law did.
And now she teaches 2nd grade special ed. She loves it...

Graduate from High school and major in elementary education in college. Then you take exams to get certified.
