I used to draw very well when I was a teenager and did it all the time rather than writing in a diary. It fascinated me what complex pictures I could make with my feelings. A few days ago I found those pictures and it brought back all those memories of why I drew them. Mostly it was because I was lonely and didn't feel like I fit in with my peers. My best drawings were made when I was sad but no way would I even let my Mom see these. I know as a mother, you need to be a bit nosey, but I hope you had permission from your daughter to see her drawings (you could have just read her diary). That being said, unless she seems depressed or disturbed in any unnormal way, I would just try to spend more time with her rather than try to get down to the bottom of what her drawings mean. They may be very private and her way of dealing with her problems, which I think is wonderful that she found an outlet for her frustrations and feelings. (By the way, naked drawings are very hard to make, maybe she is trying to see how well she can draw?)

It is good that they have emotions. It means that she can identify with emotions and express them. Stickmen are a little primitive for an 8 year old but there does not seem to be anything to worry about

I guess it would depend on the emotions and or actions of the stickmen.

well it depends on the emotions on her drawings. for example, if they are smiling and have happy emotions then she is quite probably a happy little girl. if her stick figures have negative emotions, eg. anger, sadness, confusion, then this could be a reflection on what she is feeling.
many people, even older people than 8 years old, draw stick figures and as stick figures are humanoid in appearance then faces are drawn. it is impossible to draw a face with out emotion on a stick figure. even two dots for eyes and a straight line for a mouth shows emotion. in this scenario the emotion is apathy.
stick figures are commonly drawn by people of all ages

whatever the faces of those stickmen are, it shows your daughter's feelings. she draws what she feels. if the faces are weird, you should be bothered. but if they're just plain smiles and sad faces, there's nothing wrong with that.

Ask her to tell you the story that goes with those drawings. I"m sure you'll be fascinated by her response. The things that go through children's head is amazing. Encourage her to tell you about ALL her drawings. It will give you a lot of insight into how your daughter thinks and what is important to her.
